Ingredients
  

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 oz linguine or spaghetti

4 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1/2 cup chicken broth

2 tbsp lemon juice

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain, reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.

    In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter with olive oil. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 1 minute.

      Add broth and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

        Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

          Add pasta and remaining 2 tbsp butter. Toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed.

            Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan.
