Ingredients
  

Pasta Base

  • 1 cup penne pasta
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni

Sauce Base

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk/coconut cream

Cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta

  • Bring salted water to a boil. Cook penne and macaroni together until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Base

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and soft (about 3–4 minutes).

Build the Sauce

  • Add diced tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 3–4 minutes.

Add Cheese and Seasonings

  • Stir in Parmesan, mozzarella, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix until cheese is fully melted and sauce is smooth.

Combine Everything

  • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Fold in spinach, chicken (if using), and fresh basil.

Serve Hot

  • Plate immediately and garnish with more Parmesan or fresh herbs if desired.
