Ingredients

1 ½ lbs ground beef

1 packet French onion soup mix

½ cup breadcrumbs

2 eggs

¼ cup milk

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp black pepper

1 large onion, thinly sliced

1 tbsp butter

1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss

Optional: more cheese or French-fried onions for topping

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.

Sauté onions in butter until golden. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix beef, soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and pepper.

Press half of the mixture into the pan. Layer with onions and cheese.

Cover with the remaining meat and smooth the top.

Bake 45–55 minutes or until internal temp reaches 160°F.

Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

                Tips:

                • Mix gently for tender meatloaf.
                • Let it rest to keep it juicy.
                • Swap cheeses or meat types to suit your taste.
